North Vancouver RCMP are investigating after a man was found dead in a wooded area near Cotton Drive and Kennedy Avenue Thursday. A pedestrian made the grim discovery just before 10 a.m.

North Vancouver RCMP are investigating after a man was found dead in a wooded area near Cotton Drive and Kennedy Avenue Thursday.

A pedestrian made the grim discovery just before 10 a.m. The man, who appeared to be in his 60s and homeless, was covered with a blanket about six metres from the road. The body was partially hidden by bushes.

Investigators have not yet determined a cause of death, but there were no obvious indications of foul play, according to the force. The BC Coroners Service and an RCMP forensics team are continuing to investigate. No name has been released.
