WEST Vancouver police say there is no indication of foul play in the case of a body pulled from the water off West Vancouver Thursday.

An observant walker on the Seawalk called police Thursday morning to report a body floating in Burrard Inlet between the Dundarave pier and 19th Street.

West Vancouver Fire and Rescue members assisted in recovering the body. The remains have not been identified but police say it is the body of a man. Other details are not being released.

"We don't have a confirmed cause of death yet but there is no indication of foul play," said Const. Jeff Palmer, West Vancouver Police Department spokesman. "The coroners service is going to look into whether there's consistencies between this deceased and recent missing person files." The B.C. Coroners Service identifies remains and investigates all sudden deaths.
