This is shaping up to be a busy week for public consultation in North Vancouver.
On Wednesday, Feb. 15, residents living near the controversial Low Level Road project, which aims to smooth traffic flow by raising the road closer to homes, have another chance to get a look at what Port Metro Vancouver has been doing with the $1 million the city gave it to develop a detailed design. The meeting will be held at John Braithwaite community centre in North Vancouver, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On the same night, over at the Pinnacle Hotels Pier Two Room at 6 p.m., TransLink will present its North Shore area plan, including proposed route changes, and solicit feedback from the public on how to improve transit in the region.
The following day, Thursday, Feb. 16 at 7 p. m., The Pinnacle will host the kickoff event for Phase Two of the CityShaping process, which will
eventually produce the citys new Official Community Plan.
In the meantime, the District of North Vancouver will hold a council workshop Monday at 7 p.m. on commercial enterprises and transportation strategies. Specifics have yet to be announced.
The City of North Vancouver and the District of West Vancouver councils wont meet until next week.
