Don't forget the sunscreen! 🌞

If the summer sun is your thing, there's a lot more of your thing coming this week.

Vancouver is looking at a week of sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-20s with a little bit of occasional cloud for variety, according to Environment Canada.

Monday, July 19 will see a high of 24 C; that might be the peak of the week. Inland it might get a little higher, actually, up to 27 C. Since no clouds are predicted, the UV index is high, so remember to protect against the sun's rays if planning to spend time outside.

Tuesday is essentially the same, with a little bit of cloud in the sky. A high of 23 C is forecast.

Wednesday and Thursday should be essentially the same, with highs of 22 C, sunny skies and not much else.

As the weekend approaches so does a little bit more cloud; Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all expected to hit 23 C on the coast with a mix of sun and cloud day and night.

Throughout the week overnight skies are relatively clear, with lows sitting at 14 C or 15 C.

The average for this time of year is 22 C, so temperatures are sitting just on the warm side of normal. Extreme highs are typically between 27 C and 30 C.
