WEST Vancouver police are warning owners not to leave any valuables in their vehicles after 23 cars within a few blocks were hit with smash-and-grabs Wednesday night.

WEST Vancouver police are warning owners not to leave any valuables in their vehicles after 23 cars within a few blocks were hit with smash-and-grabs Wednesday night.

Thieves smashed windows of nearly two dozen vehicles overnight - most of them between the 900 block of Jefferson and the 2400-block of Kings, said Const. Jeff Palmer, spokesman for the department.

Cash, electronics, cell phones and personal items like sunglasses were among the items stolen.

The vehicles were either parked in driveways or on the street outside the owners' homes at the time.

Palmer said anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area Tuesday night should call police.
