Photographer Peter Langer will take his audience on a musical and photographic journey of the Indian subcontinent this fall in a series of presentations at West Vancouver's Ferry Building.

The opening show on Oct. 5 will focus on the Himalayas: Bhutan - Bhutan, also known locally as Drukyul (Land of Thunder Dragon), is the last surviving Mahayana Buddhist Kingdom, with a breathtaking Himalayan landscape as a backdrop. The country was never colonized, and thus survived the influences of accelerated and thoughtless modernization; which makes it one of the rarest and most unique of travel destinations.

Other areas covered in the series include Nepal and Tibet, specific regions of India and Sri Lanka
