Austin-based, modern-day rootsy torch singer opened for Alex Cameron at a sold out show last night at the Imperial. Born in L.A. to film industry parents, Burch knows a thing or two about setting a sonic mise en scène. Bandcamp mentions Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Everly Brothers and Sam Cooke as influences. Throw Angelo Badalamenti via David Lynch into the mix as well.
