On Monday, Lorde took out a full page ad in the New Zealand Herald thanking her fans in a handwritten letter for “believing in female musicians. You’ve set a beautiful precedent.” The day before at the Grammy’s she had been the only woman up for “Album of the Year” and the only artist in her category not asked to perform in the live broadcast. Lorde will bring her Melodrama tour to Vancouver on March 8 to play Rogers Arena.
