In celebration of Joni Mitchell's 75th birthday on Nov. 7, Laila Biali intends to arrange and release 75 minutes of Mitchell's music over the coming months.
Born and raised in North Vancouver and a Handsworth Secondary grad, Biali is now based in the East and host of the weekly Saturday Night Jazz program on CBC Music.
She first performed Mitchell’s "River" a few years ago for a holiday concert in New York City. As a teaser for the new project, which will begin Jan, 21, 2019, Biali released a live version of “River” on Dec. 16.
