The Goh Ballet celebrates its 40th Anniversary with the world premiere of Maina Gielgud’s variation of the classic fairytale, Cinderella, with performances tonight and Saturday, June 1 and 2, 7:30 p.m., at The Centre (777 Homer St., Vancouver).
North Vancouver dancer Ashley Coupal, who will perform in Cinderella says:
"Dancing in this newly choreographed work of Cinderella has been an incredible learning experience. With the beautiful and expressive movements in this piece, Maina Gielgud has taught me as a dancer how to bring out my own unique character and emotions with every tendu I present. Without doubt, Cinderella’s audience will not only be impressed by this ballet’s technical perfection, but by the emotional connection Miss Gielgud has brought out in her dancers.”
