ON their second album, British duo The Ting Tings explore a variety of genres while still clinging to their pop sensibilities.

The 10 tracks range from the dancfloor ready "Give it Back" to the sensitive ballad "Day to Day".

There is plenty to choose from with the band including rock, electronica, dance beats, ballads, and pop in the mix.

The album was recorded in Berlin where they have said they were free of the distractions they would have faced if they had gone back to Manchester.

The freedom has paid off with every track sounding polished and fresh.

Katie White's vocals have an increased range, but also a sincerity that goes far beyond a pop singer. Musically, their experiment is a success with the variety of styles working off each other to create a package that continues to entertain even after repeated listenings.

The Ting Tings will be performing at the Commodore on March 27.
