What do Angelina Jolie, the Rolling Stones and Ouagadougou have in common? Theyve all come into contact with young Tuareg musician Omara Bombino Moctar over the past couple of years.
Bombino acted as Jolies guide when she visited Niger in 2006, he played with Keith Richards and Charlie Watts on a new version of Hey Negrita and for the last couple of years hes been an exile in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, as interminable Sahara Desert rebellions have scattered the traditional nomadic culture.
