"Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Exhibit" will be coming to Metro Vancouver on Feb. 1, 2023.

Vancouver art lovers can dive into another immersive Vincent Van Gogh exhibit this year.

While some may have already experienced the Dutch artist's work at the "Imagine Van Gogh" exhibit which stopped at the Vancouver Convention Centre in 2021, projecting about 200 of Van Gogh's paintings onto massive walls, this new exhibit is adding new elements to the artistic experience.

Though "Beyond Van Gogh" also features the work of Vincent Van Gogh and is produced by the same promoter as the former Van Gogh exhibit, visitors can expect a new perspective on the famous artist. The show was created by French-Canadian creative director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal's Normal Studio.

The new exhibit will bring over 300 of Van Gogh's paintings, from recognizable classics such as “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Café Terrace at Night" to the Agriplex at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey starting Feb. 1, 2023.

The exhibit is split into different rooms, starting at the Education Room which leads into the Waterfall Room and the Immersive Experience Room, where the paintings are projected onto the walls and visitors can hear the artist's own dreams and thoughts set to music in a narrative experience.
