West Vancouver’s Sue and Stan Ward enjoy high afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, after flying there via Harbour Air Seaplanes on National Seniors Day. The trip was made possible through the Dream On Seniors’ Wish Foundation, a charity founded by private home care company Nurse Next Door that works to make the dreams of seniors come true. For years, Stan drove the West Vancouver Seniors’ Activity Centre shuttle bus helping isolated seniors get out of their homes and back into the community making him an excellent candidate for having his wish granted, according to the foundation. dreamonseniorswish.org
