PONY tails aren't simply for the playground anymore.

Models and celebrities are rocking the look on the designer catwalk and Hollywood red carpet.

Hairstylist Isabelle Faure shares how to create a simple and elegant pony with a modern twist that will take this easiest of updos from the monkey bars to the wine bar.

Start with a dry shampoo like the one from the new göt2b Rockin' It line from Schwarzkopf.

This method works better for a day-after 'do than with fresh-washed hair. Spraying dry shampoo at the roots will make oils disappear and give hair a good foundation for backcombing, says Faure. Working from the front hairline to the crown, take hair in half-inch sections and backcomb root to tip. Smooth hair back with your hands (no brush) and secure in a pony tail at your occipital bone (the curved, middle-crest of your skull).

Find göt2b Rockin' It dry shampoo, gel and hairspray on shelves at mass retail locations including Shoppers Drug Mart, Wal-Mart, London Drugs and Zellers for about $8 per product.
