Heritage Hike: The Elders Council for Parks in British Columbia will host a free workshop with Alex Douglas of the Mount Seymour History Project Thursday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. There will be a hike to an old cabin on Mount Seymour followed by a display of archives and artifacts. Ramblers: Meet at the West Vancouver Seniors' Activity Centre, 695 21st St. for an eight-to 10-kilometre hike every Monday at 9: 30 a.m., rain or shine. Terrain is varied and proper footwear and clothing are required. Bring water and a bagged lunch. New participants must phone prior to the first hike.
