Seniors Peer Support: Caring volunteers ages 55+ are needed to assist other seniors to help maintain their independence and to access resources in the community. Once a sufficient number of volunteers have registered, they will receive training by Seniors Peer Counselling B.C. The class is hoped to start in late September or early October. Alzheimer's Care Training: West Vancouver families are invited to a free training workshop July 24, 1-3 p.m. at Home Instead Senior Care, 201-2232 Marine Dr., West Vancouver. The session is designed to incorporate a patient-centred approach to help families deal with some of the difficult behavioural changes associated with Alzheimer's and other dementias. Harmony Arts Festival: A trip down memory lane for the young at heart.
