Call for Contestants: The public is invited to audition for Chartwell's annual Senior Star singing and musical instrument competition that will take place on June 28. To arrange for an audition, contact Churchill House Retirement Community at 604-904-1199.

Seniors' Wellness Park: A celebration of the park's face-lift and re-opening will take place Tuesday, June 26, noon-2 p.m. at Parkgate Park, North Vancouver. There will be a free hot dog barbecue. Parkgate Community Centre health and lifestyle consultants will be on-site to provide instruction on how to use the equipment during the opening and Mondays, 10: 30 a.m.-12: 30 p.m. and Wednesdays, 8: 45-10: 15 a.m. in July and August.
