David Broughton and Areta Sanders shovel soil to be transferred to planting areas for native trees at West Vancouver’s Dale Park. Volunteers are needed for Saturday, Nov. 15 and 29 as the Lighthouse Park Preservation Society will be continuing work in the Caulfeild area park, thanks to a grant received from Canon’s Take Root Program presented by Evergreen. Volunteers will work to remove invasive plants and restore the Dale Park with more than 1,000 native plants, including 600 trees and shrubs. Interested participants are encouraged to meet at the corner of Water Lane and The Dale in West Vancouver at 9 a.m. and work will continue until noon on both Saturdays.
