The Parkgate Singers perform at Government House in Victoria Feb. 15 at an event hosted by Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon. The public ceremony was intended to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada. Featured performers included: North Vancouver’s Parkgate Singers, winners of the lieutenant-governor’s 2014 Sing Me A Song program for “Our Canada”; Métis artisans Lisa Shepherd and Ron Gerard; and the Jan Stirling Jazz Trio.
