NEW year, new you . . . you hope.
Put those New Year's resolutions to good use and possibly win. The North Vancouver Recreation Commission wants to help nearby residents achieve their new year's goals. The organization is holding a contest to win a fitness makeover.
The contest can be entered online by going to www.northvanrec.com or by following the link from the NVRC Facebook page to the contest survey form.
The contest will run for five weeks, with draws being done on Feb. 1 for three prizes.
First prize includes a NVRC one-year fitness membership, 12 one-hour personal training sessions, a "New-You" makeover from Zazou Salon & Spa ($300 value), a deluxe gift basket from Victoria's Health ($150 value), a lactate analysis test from Peak Centre for Human Performance at Different Bikes West Vancouver plus a $50 gift certificate for Different Bikes (Total Value: $200), and a $100 gift certificate for Team Aquatics.
Second prize includes a $100 NVRC gift card, a functional movement screen from Active Life Physio and one half-hour follow up physiotherapy visit ($200 value), an amplified telephone assistive listening device or children's protective ear muffs ($50 value) from Home Mobile Hearing, and an Edgemont Moving & Storage cozy fleece jacket.
Third prize is a $50 NVRC gift card, a one hour massage, a water bottle and workout T-shirts from Moveo Sport & Rehabilitation ($160 value), an amplified telephone assistive listening device or children's protective ear muffs ($50 value) from Home Mobile Hearing, and an Edgemont Moving & Storage cozy hoodie.
