Universal Outreach Foundation’s Stop Ebola Now task force gets ready to distribute hygiene kits to families in Royesville, Montserrado County in the West African nation of Liberia. The West Vancouver-based foundation, which serves vulnerable and impoverished children and their communities around the world has launched Stop Ebola Now, a program designed to keep the Ebola virus away from the communities it has partnered with during its seven years of working in Liberia. The organization is hoping to raise $8,000 to distribute hygiene kits containing the needed supplies to maintain a high level of sanitation to 230 households (affecting 1,380 people) to help them stay safe during the outbreak. While the kits are distributed, a health care professional will lead discussions on Ebola awareness. To contribute to the campaign, visit universaloutreachfoundation.org.
