THE nomination period has been extended for the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce's 16th annual Business Excellence Awards.
Residents now have until Friday, Aug. 30 to put forward the name of an exemplary person or business in the community.
The awards promote the advancement of responsible business leadership and harmony within North Vancouver. Categories include: Best Business, Business Person of the Year, Community Contribution, Innovation, Service Excellence and Young Entrepreneur (under 36).
All companies that have been in existence for 18 months, and are located in the City or District of North Vancouver are eligible (they do not have to be chamber members).
Finalists receive a short film about their organization along with recognition at the Business Excellence Awards Gala.
