Ski and snowboard season is upon us and the Canadian Ski Council is once again offering SnowPasses to kids in Grade 4 and 5. The pass provides three lift tickets at each participating ski area across Canada to kids born in 2003 or 2004 for the entire 2013/2014 snow season.
Parents can sign their children up online at snowpass. ca for $29.95. Application forms are also being distributed to elementary schools across Canada beginning in early November. SnowPass cards will be mailed out in mid-November, before the Dec. 1 SnowPass season start date.
Parents only need to apply once for the SnowPass, which is valid until the end of Grade 5. This means if you sign up your child in Grade 4, the pass is good for two years of skiing and riding. SnowPasses are accepted at more than 150 ski areas across Canada including 32 ski areas in British Columbia (Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour are both on the list). Some restrictions and back-out dates apply.
