Skincare woes

WOULD you trade your skin's health for $100,000? An Angus Reid Public Opinion poll conducted online in March posed that question and revealed some surprising results.

WOULD you trade your skin's health for $100,000?

An Angus Reid Public Opinion poll conducted online in March posed that question and revealed some surprising results. The independent research firm surveyed 1,000 women nationwide who identified themselves as having sensitive skin.

One in three women surveyed said they'd choose healthy skin for life, over the money. The poll also showed that the majority of women (64 per cent) said their skin's condition has an impact on the clothes they wear and that nearly one in three avoided a social event because of their skin's condition. Three-quarters of the respondents said eye cream was their most important skincare product. Face and hands were the biggest areas of concern.

The study was commissioned by Curel, makers of a moisturizing skincare line for dry and sensitive skin that launched in Canada with its debut at select London Drugs stores in Vancouver in April. Find Curel's complete skincare lineup on the North Shore at London Drugs in Park Royal's north mall.
