The West Vancouver BC SPCA branch is reaching out to the public for donations to help a pair of injured animals.

The West Vancouver BC SPCA branch is reaching out to the public for donations to help a pair of injured animals.

Sam, an eight-year-old golden retriever, and Elliot, a one-year-old cream-coloured cat, both require surgery to repair torn cruciate ligaments.

After members of his former family fell ill and were unable to care for Sam, he was surrendered to the SPCA, while Elliot was surrendered when his former owner fled from an abusive and violent situation.

Both surgeries are expected to exceed $4,000.

To help Sam and Elliot, and other animals in care at the West Vancouver shelter, visit spca.bc.ca/westvancouver to donate, or drop off donations at 1020 Marine Dr.
