LOOKING for a petfriendly vacation this summer?

Book in with your furry friend at Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre, and you'll be doing a good deed for less fortunate animals.

Pan Pacific Whistler will be making a donation to WAG (Whistler Animals Galore), the Whistler animal shelter, to support the homeless animals in the area. Each time a pet stays in Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre, $5 will be donated to WAG.

At both Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre and Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside, each member of the family is made to feel welcome, comfortable and happy while staying at the all-suite luxury properties.

This is equally true for the four-legged guests staying at the Village Centre property (which has pet-friendly rooms). Pets are not only welcome to join in on a family vacation but encouraged.

The Pan Pacific Team has a passion for pets that extends well beyond the front doors of the hotels.

It was the Service One Associates who suggested the WAG program to the management team, asking that a $5 donation from each pet guest stay be donated to the local shelter.

This team wants to pamper pets while in the hotel, and comfort those pets still looking for a family to love. Jim Douglas, general manager of the Pan Pacific Whistler said in a statement that the hotel will be making

a $661 donation to WAG, representing approximately $5 per pet guest who stayed with it since the beginning of 2012.

"We feel the caregivers at WAG truly embody the generous spirit we Whistler residents feel. Whistlerites support and look after each other, including the pets that have yet to find their homes."

The donation program will continue throughout 2012, with Jim and his team making regular donations to WAG. Staying with Pan Pacific Whistler is a treat for fourlegged friends; upon check in, they receive a fabulous amenity package including food and water bowls, a blanket, a Pet Card to hang outside the door for notification, dog treats, and biodegradable poop bags.

About WAG: The Whistler Animal Shelter is operated by Whistler Animals Galore, a non-profit society for lost and unwanted pets, helping them find their "forever home." The shelter facility is owned and maintained by the Municipality of Whistler; whistlerwag.com.
