Food Drive Collector: BC Thanksgiving Food Drive is looking for volunteers from Sept. 16 to 18 to deliver instructions on how to donate to the food drive. Volunteers will work in a group of three to five to cover a geographic area. Volunteers will also help with the donation collection scheduled for Sept. 21.

Support Group Facilitator: A support group facilitator (or co-facilitator) facilitates a caregiver support group meeting, communicates with the local support and education co-ordinator on a regular basis, maintains group attendance records and uses Alzheimer Society materials to provide information to the group.

Book Club Facilitator: This program is run by the book club leader with three facilitators. The facilitator's job is to ask prepared questions to their group, encourage and keep the discussions going and get each participant to share their own ideas and opinions about the readings. Facilitators will have to explain parts of the book that may be challenging to understand, cultural context and idioms or turns of phrase that the participants are unfamiliar with, but each session is primarily in discussion format. Examples of books read are: The Secret Life of Bees and The Joy Luck Club.

Tuck Shop Sales Person: Inglewood Care Centre is looking for a volunteer to help with selling items to residents.

Stroke Rehab Program Volunteer: North Vancouver Recreation Commission is seeking volunteers who can assist participants who have had a cerebral vascular accident. The focus is on full range of movement for small and large muscle groups with some speech therapy. This is a water-based program.
