North Shore teen donates hair to charity for the third time

Makena Petrie, 13, with the help of Anna Macias from North Vancouver’s Serenity Hair Lounge, recently cut off 18 inches of hair to donate to a charity that provides wigs for sick children. This is the third time Petrie has donated her long locks to charity. She is concurrently raising money for Covenant House and hopes to reach the $1,500 mark by Sept. 3.
