West Vancouver’s Charlene Johnny Wadsworth (Cowichan), a 2014 YVR Art Foundation Scholarship recipient, unveils her traditional Coast Salish button blanket on May 29, which will be exhibited at the airport for one year. Also on exhibit is a collage of photographs by fellow 2014 scholarship recipient George Lawson (Gitxsan) of North Vancouver. Meanwhile, North Vancouver’s Danielle Morsette (Sto:lo/Squamish) is one of nine B.C. First Nations artists to receive a 2015 YVR Art Foundation Scholarship worth $5,000.
