Moores kicks off suit drive

A CANADIAN MEN'S CLOTHING STORE WANTS THE SHIRT OFF YOUR BACK. If you don't mind, they'd also like your shoes, belt, suit jacket and tie. Don't forget the pants.

If you don't mind, they'd also like your shoes, belt, suit jacket and tie. Don't forget the pants. Moores Clothing for Men is aiming to collect 50,000 gently used items of professional clothing for men. It's all part of Moores' Canadian Suit Drive, now in its third year. The clothing will be donated to dozens of organizations across Canada who are helping unemployed men get back into the workforce.

Carmen Salciccioli, director of The Good Shepherd Centre, noted in a Moores release that the clothing drive is an opportunity to provide men with clothing that is dignified for any occasion, whether the recipients are attending a function or looking for employment. Many individuals who live in poverty don't fully participate in society, but a new outfit can help them to re-establish their self confidence and participate in activities that the rest of us take for granted, he added.
