These North Vancouver residents are retired, but are still involved with the arts. Dennis is concentrating on photography and painting, and Carole is facilitating exhibitions, and is an adjudicator for various craft councils.

How did you meet?

Carole: We met while attending the Vancouver School of Art, which is now Emily Carr University. Dennis was the first student I saw when I entered the school for my very first time. I was impressed with his goatee and the fact that he was president of the student body. I got myself involved with the student council during that first year.

How do you like to spend time together?

International travel, seawall walks and especially attending cultural institutions.

What is your secret for lasting love?

We are good friends and enjoy each other's company, and we have many common interests, yet we are individuals.

What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

A special dinner with long-time friends.
