The District of North Vancouver Animal Welfare Shelter is looking for eight homes for nine animals this season.
Besides a collection of six cats, the district is hoping to find a rodent-friendly owner for sister rats Dewy and Louie. The hairless rats can be adopted separately but have not been spayed.
Also included in the menagerie is Californian rabbit Grover. The one-year-old white rabbit was likely hand-raised as he shows little fear of people, according to a shelter representative.
Anyone interested in adopting can visit the shelter at 299 Mansfield Place or go to dnv.org/programs-and-services/animals-available-adoption
