Read to Me, a program for children under the age of six where children are encouraged to read with someone special and record it all in a reading log, will hold a kick-off party Wednesday, July 6, 1: 30 p.m. at the North Vancouver City Library, 120 West 14th St. The event will feature the Purple Pirate with his non-traditional brand of entertainment. Children's Entertainers Bobs and Lolo will perform a free concert of catchy tunes with educational messaging Saturday, July 9, 1-2 p.m. at Park Royal Village, near Whole Foods Market, West Vancouver.
