How to get that 'Yes!'

ONE of the biggest decisions in life (should we get married?) is quickly followed by "How will I propose?" A recent press release from Fairmont Pacific Rim answers that question with ease.

ONE of the biggest decisions in life (should we get married?) is quickly followed by "How will I propose?"

A recent press release from Fairmont Pacific Rim answers that question with ease. The hotel offers an on-staff proposal planner to help map out the perfect path to the big question.

Offering a little something special for everyone, proposals can include anything from fireworks to an airplane banner in the sky.

Suitors need only make the call, discuss budget and set the date. Then the "perfect proposal" is exclusively designed for that special someone. The only rules of engagement - bring the love and don't forget the bling.

The would-be groom (or bride) can choose from a list of a la carte offerings designed with their significant other in mind or choose from an array of proposal packages.

The Lights, Camera, Action package wraps it all up in the hotel's state-of-the-art theatre reserved exclusively for the couple to watch their favourite flick on the big screen. After the suitor pops the question, a bottle of bubbly awaits served by a private butler.

The Rock Star package includes an evening in the hotel's most esteemed owner's suite and access to the hotel's BMW to whisk around the city in style. The icing on the cake - right before the big question is asked, a private musician serenades on the suite's rooftop terrace where sweeping landscape views become the back-drop of one of the most important milestone days of a lifetime.

For chocolate lovers, the Sweets Design package allows the couple to go behind the scenes in the pastry shop's chocolate room where a private lesson from the pastry chef will guide the way to life's sweetest treats.

Taking the proposal to new heights the Cabana package includes a night's stay in a Poolview Suite (with a private patio and fireplace) and an exclusive dinner served in the privacy of the suite. Then when the time is set, love will take flight as an airplane banner queued to soar reveals a special message to pop the question.

The hotel's proposal planner, Kristie Kent manages weddings and special events as well as proposals. In the release, she said she enjoys her special role. "How many people get to be involved and help create that special night and perfect memory that lasts a lifetime?"

The hotel offers packages or custom proposals that range in budget from $200 to $10,000. For more information visit the website at www.fairmont.com/pacificrim or contact Kent at 6046955451; Kristie.kent@fairmont. com. For information about Fairmont hotels visit www. fairmont.com.
