Local children warm up for Kilometres for Kindness, a cross-country run-walk to raise money for cancer research, Lynnmour elementary and provide comfort for those in need this winter, at North Vancouver’s Digger Park (a lower extension of Inter River Park between Lynn Creek and Premier Street) Thursday, Oct. 23. For every participant, Lynnmour students will make a warm item to donate to shelters. The community/public run will get underway at noon followed by the student/school run at 1 p.m. Course options: 1.5, three and six kilometres. Participation by a suggested donation of $2-$5.
