Jaden Pomeroy, 8, gets some help from Evergreen urban ecology project co-ordinator Dylan Rawlyk with planting sword ferns and other native plants around Mosquito Creek Park earlier this fall. Volunteers assisted with invasive plant removal, general clean up and new plantings in conjunction with Rivers Day at the event, which saw involvement from a number of community groups.
