DECEMBER is the best time of year to spritz on a new scent, as fragrance houses launch new releases and repackage old favourites into limited edition gift sets.

Viva La Juicy
Made from a mix of mandarin orange, wild berries, honeysuckle, gardenia and creamy amber notes, this new fragrance by Juicy Couture is described in a release as decadent and flirtatious - just like this international brand's bold fashions and accessories. Choose from either the limited edition parfum ($120 for 100 ml) or solid perfume necklace ($55), both adorned with plenty of bling and packaged in a bright pink satin case. Viva La Juicy is available exclusively at The Bay.
Wonderstruck
The debut fragrance from singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is a "gourmand floral" with notes of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry. The soft scent is perfect for tweens and teens. The antiqued gold charms (a Moravian star, dove and birdcage) that adorn the perfume's iridescent purple bottle were apparently handpicked by the star herself and are reminiscent of her personal style. Wonderstruck is available in eau de parfum spray ($63 for 50 mL, $78 for 100 mL), rollerball ($22), body lotion ($42) and bath gel ($32), available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart through the holidays and at Sephora beginning in January.
White Diamonds
Created 20 years ago to reflect the glamour and sparkle of the star's worldfamous diamond jewelry collection, Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds fragrance is described as a complex and intoxicating exotic scent with notes of Amazon lily, Egyptian tuberose, jasmine and amber. Bonus gift with purchase: a sparkly watch. Priced from $52 for body lotion to $80 for parfum, White Diamonds is available at most beauty counters.
