In this pastiest of seasons, many a complexion could use a little pick-me-up.

Fortunately there are a couple of cheeky new products on the market that promise to do just that.

Just launched this month, Clinique Cheek Pop (suggested retail price: $24) is available in four vibrant shades (Ginger Pop, Peach Pop, Berry Pop and Plum Pop). The attractive packaging features a clear compact containing dome-shaped powder embossed with a spring-like gerbera daisy. According to Clinique, the Cheek Pop formula actually begins as a smooth liquid which is slowly baked, transforming it into a powder. This product goes on smooth and even without a caked-on effect. One layer provides a natural, barely-there look. Brush on a few more strokes for added vibrancy.

Meanwhile, Revlon recently introduced a full collection of blushes. Among them is Revlon Cream Blush (suggested retail price: $11.95), available in four shades (Pinched, Charmed, Flushed and Coral Reef). The product is lightweight and easy to blend with the fingertips. The result is a soft satin finish and, because this product is cream-based, it has staying power.

For more intense colour and even longer wear, Revlon suggests applying the cream blush first, then layering on a powder blush.
