Sun Peaks Wine and Culture Festival: If you plan to be in the Okanagan this weekend, enjoy music and wine at Sun Peaks Resort from July 6-9. Tickets are still available for a perfect pairing of orchestral music and wine during Friday night's Symphony of Flavours. On Sunday, guests will take the Sunburst Express Chairlift to a mid-mountain patio for Sunburst BBQ & Mid-Mountain Trio Serenade: A citrus-grilled salmon lunch while listening to a trio from the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra Chamber Musicians.

Enchanted Evenings: Join Wild Rice Modern Chinese Cuisine and Dr. Sun Yat Sen Garden for a dinner and concert every Friday until Aug. 31. A special three-course pre-concert dinner will be available at Wild Rice, 117 West Pender St. followed by an evening of music at 7: 30 p.m. in the garden located at 578 Carrall St., Vancouver. Indian Summer Festival: An opening reception will launch a celebration of fine food, live music and dance Thursday, July 5, 7 p.m. at W2 Media Café, Woodward's Atrium, 111 West Hastings St., Vancouver. Vikram Vij will curate a culinary tour of India where multiple food stations provided by some of Vancouver's favourite Indian eateries will feature various regional cuisines from across the country. Dinner by Starlight: on Saturday, July 7, Vij will host an exclusive five-course dinner with the icon of Indian cinema and guest of honour Sharmila Tagore at a secret Vancouver location. Ticketed events ranging from $5 to $350 available at indiansummerfestival.ca.

Uncork Summer Fun: The Okanagan Falls Winery Association will present Party in the Park Friday, July 6, 5-9 p.m. at Kenyon Park, Okanagan Falls. Guests will taste premium wines from a dozen local producers, as well as enjoy a barbecue buffet dinner and entertainment. Wines by the glass will be available at a nominal cost and guests will each get a wine glass to take home. Tickets are $50 and available at http: //ofwa.ca. Participants must be 19 years of age or older.

Whisky Dinner: The Arts Club Theatre Company, in partnership with Kale & Nori Culinary Arts and Legacy Liquor Store will celebrate the finest in Scotch whisky Thursday, July 12, 6 p.m. at Legacy Liquor Store, 1633 Manitoba St., Vancouver. The event will feature a tasting, a four-course dinner served around a communal harvest table and cocktail pairings. Tickets are $90 and can be purchased at 604-687-5315, ext. 248. Funds made will benefit the not-for-profit theatre company.
