Pairing Passions with Art+Wine Tour: A total of 53 sculptures by Parisian artist Nathalie Decoster will be on display at Mission Hill Family Estate in the Okanagan. The large-scale sculptures, made from bronze, stainless steel and concrete, convey philosophical messages about universal human conditions. Friday to Sunday, through October, the winery will offer tours to guide guests through the exhibit. The sommelier-led tour will be narrated to a selection of Mission Hill flagship wines. Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes: The fall series of classes will run until Nov. 21. Chefs will teach by example, preparing unique and elegant four-course dinners, paired with wine. These fundraising evenings will be held at different designer homes in and around Vancouver and will benefit the Arts Club. Each class will start with a celebratory glass of wine, an amuse-bouche, and introductions. Guests are then encouraged to assist in the preparation of components of the meal. Japanese Cooking Classes will take place Thursdays, Oct. 20, Nov. 3 and 10 from 9: 45 a.m. to 12: 15 p.m. Classes will include hands on teaching, recipes and all the ingredients. Wine and Food Festival: The Rotary Clubs of the North Shore will hold their 10th annual festival Saturday, Oct. 22, 7: 30-10 p.m. at Park Royal, south mall, West Vancouver. Thirty-four wine merchants will be pouring over 174 different wines with 11 restaurants offering hors d'oeuvres. Admission: $50 which includes a $10 taxi voucher to assist you with your ride home. Proceeds will be donated to the North Shore Youth Safe House and other rotary projects.

Farms to Forks Growing Chefs' Fundraiser: Wander through the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts' classroom kitchens at 1505 West Second Ave., Vancouver and watch some of Vancouver's best chefs in action on Sunday, Oct. 23, 5-9: 30 p.m. Sample food and drinks from the chefs from Bishop's, Maenam, Vij's, West and other restaurants. Each chef will be paired with a local B.C. grower and producer to celebrate the best of the season.
