Latin Canadian Fashion Week: The inaugural event is Friday, Dec. 9 at Fraser Hall, 8240 Fraser St., Vancouver. Doors open at 7 p.m. The show hosted by TM Latino will feature designs by Charo Palomino, Valerie Orrego, Mirna Paco, Jacquelin Cabrera, followed by a variety of dance shows and music by Rumba Calzada. Tickets, $20, at Pilar's Boutique in the Village at Park Royal. Part proceeds to Soroptimist International.

Trunk Show: Folli Follie, the international jewelry, watch and accessories brand, is showcasing 25 one-of-a-kind K Collection pieces at Holt Renfrew in Vancouver to Dec. 11. The K Collection is a line of unique luxurious creations with ethnic influences in a combination of various materials and precious and semi-precious stones. The Folli Follie pop-up shop, located at the skybridge entrance to Holt Renfrew, is the first retail space for the brand in Canada. The shop will be up through January.

Red Sock Project: Homewares retailer Nood has kicked off its annual Red Sock Project at all its store locations, including Marine Dr., North Vancouver. Share the warmth by donating $2 towards a pair of red socks to be distributed by the Salvation Army to homeless and disadvantaged people in local communities. Last, year more than 10,000 warm socks were distributed. Campaign runs to Dec. 24. Info at www.nood.ca.

One of a Kind Show: Holiday shoppers can pick up homewares, ceramics, accessories, dresses, handbags and tasty gourmet treats at Vancouver's One of a Kind Show, on until Dec. 11 at Vancouver Convention Centre West. Hours are Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.5 p.m. The event will feature the work of more than 150 artists, artisans and designers, including from the North Shore: fashion jewelry by Billy Would Designs, Dahlhaus ceramics, creampuff by gg clothing, Noei textiles and accessories, Toodlebunny fashion jewelry and Notice Me Hats (pictured below).
