Dotty idea is a wrap

MOST of us seem to scramble at the last minute to wrap up a present so it's not always easy to wrap it up in a nice way. If you would like to wrap up something in a creative fashion you may want to try this idea.

MOST of us seem to scramble at the last minute to wrap up a present so it's not always easy to wrap it up in a nice way.

If you would like to wrap up something in a creative fashion you may want to try this idea.

This gift-wrap idea is very easy to assemble and wonderful when time is of the essence. All you need is a few of your leftover paint chips from your last redecorating project. If you don't have any on hand, a quick visit to your local hardware store's paint section should do the trick.

Materials:

Gift box

Thin ribbon Tape, scissors and craft glue Wrapping paper Coloured paint chip cards Large, round whole punch (available in the scrapbook section at Michaels)

Solid-coloured wrapping paper is best for this idea as the patterned variety is a little too busy.

Cover your gift in the wrapping paper and measure the amount of thin ribbon you will require to wrap around the gift four to five times. Cut the ribbon and begin to randomly wrap it around the gift.

Using your hole punch, cut out an assortment of coloured dots and set aside. Arrange the dots on top of the ribbon and secure with the craft glue.

Attach a small greeting card to finish off.
