Local youths participate in the inaugural Parkgate Community Services Society Youth Action Committee Dodgeball Tournament, held earlier this year. The tournament, which saw 80 people from Grade 8 to age 25 take part, was intended to embody what the committee is all about: serving local young people by organizing events and fundraisers, creating leadership opportunities and helping them to live life better. The event raised more than $300, which will be used to run similar community-building events in the future.
