MOUNT Seymour United Church will host a series of parenting workshops in partnership with Parkgate Community Centre and Cove Community Church.
A recent press release from Seymour noted the upcoming event Your Child's Sexual World is Bigger Than You Think, a three-part parenting series co-hosted by the two groups. The first workshop in the series is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 24, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It's titled Parenting in a Cyber-Age, and will be led by Safe Online Outreach Society.
On Friday, April 13, 7-9 p.m., How to Talk to Your Kids About Sexuality with Saleema Noon Sexual Health Educators Group. Love, Sex and Good Relationships, the final workshop in the series, will be held on Friday, May 25, 7-9 p.m., and will feature Jan Bryant, a parent counsellor and educator. Individual workshops cost $15, or register for all three workshops for $40. Child minding is available, but is limited. Light refreshments will be served.
