Best financial reporting
The District of West Vancouver has won the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting for its 2012 annual report.
The award is presented by the Government Finance Officers Association, an independent organization that promotes best practices in financial reporting, including clarity and full disclosure.
This is the eighth consecutive year that the District of West Vancouver has received this award.
The award program was established to encourage municipal governments in Canada to publish highquality financial reports and to provide peer recognition and technical guidance for officials preparing these reports.
