The 21st edition of the Realtors Care Blanket Drive is on now, running through Monday. Each year, the Realtors Care Blanket Drive provides warm clothing and blankets to more than 19,000 Lower Mainland residents in need.

The 21st edition of the Realtors Care Blanket Drive is on now, running through Monday.

Each year, the Realtors Care Blanket Drive provides warm clothing and blankets to more than 19,000 Lower Mainland residents in need. The initiative is a partnership between the Realtors of the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board and the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board and their communities, according to a press release from organizers.

Since the Blanket Drive began in 1995, the program has helped more than 275,000 people keep warm and dry during the winter months.

Clothing items being sought include blankets, sleeping bags, warm winter clothing for all ages, new socks and underwear, hats, coats and gloves.Anyone with donations can drop them off at participating real estate offices, a number of which are located in North and West Vancouver. In addition, community members can drop off items at Park Royal North or Capilano Mall, Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22, between noon and 4 p.m.All donations remain in the community in which they were collected.

Organizations being collected for include the Harvest Project, Lookout Society, Covenant House and the Vancouver Police Department.
