In honour of January as Alzheimer's month, the Medical Arts Health Research Group announced a West Vancouver Honour the Caregiver Award for caregivers who go above and beyond.
Today, more than 500,000 Canadians have been diagnosed with dementia and over one million Canadians are caregivers for these family members, according to a press release from the organization.
The Honour the Caregiver Award is intended to recognize one incredible caregiver in West Vancouver who selflessly loves to help others. The award winner will receive more than a heartfelt thank you, as there is a special gift awaiting this deserving individual.
