Sally Ruffalls and Elena Grant of Sofiabella Tween Clothing Boutique in Edgemont Village are collecting gently used party dresses for Grade 7 students in North Vancouver who don’t have the means to purchase formal wear for their elementary school farewell celebrations. The donation campaign, dubbed 44 Dresses (a nod to North Vancouver School District 44), first launched in 2014 under the direction of Grant and Norgate Community Elementary principal Lisa Upton. Now until March 29, residents are invited to drop off dresses, as well as accessories and shoes, at Sofiabella, 3068 Highland Blvd., North Vancouver.
