Birthday gal Doris Hopkins, marking her 100th, enjoys a chorus of “Happy Birthday” by Mayor Richard Walton and fellow tea party goers at the April Seniors Social Tea and Entertainment event at Capilano House. Held on the second Thursday of every month, the program is presented by the Capilano Community Services Society’s Seniors’ Hub and is intended for frail or isolated seniors and is made possible through the support of volunteers who bake, drive or help on the day. The next social will be held May 8 at 2 p.m. capservices.ca
